If you were lucky enough to be present at Reviewball, you know that Sofia and I can read a poem aloud wonderfully. While I admit in the past we have enlisted the help of someone named “Claude” to write our poems, today we will read a poem at the Onesies which is entirely ours:
Even though we might’ve fooled you all before
We are back with a poem once more
Tonight this might be your favorite part
This time right from the heart
Though we just met a short time ago
I can’t believe we’re already tying up the bow
Because great friendship and love was born
With laughter and pranks bonds were formed
From Eswatini to Safari and museums to markets
We heard that Jonathan hit the wall when Paul said “park it”
We tried really hard to pay attention in class
Despite our sleepiness, we really wanted to pass
While we agree Antonia’s the OG star,
We all loved filming, even if our projects are subpar
Emma and Elon never skipped a gym day,
Sofia and Evie are a little cray-cray
Seli and Asia are going to be great Frocos,
During the Tyla dance they go a little loco
Anika is our dauntless queen,
When we cook, she helps us make the beans
Yusuf’s med school apps were very tricky
Ben and Georgie were quite sicky
Overall, our group is pretty derpy,
Jonathan and Paul, don’t forget to eat your jerky
You might catch us saying “hey buddy”
Especially when the chocolate volcano is spectacularly muddy
Felita and Brian are OH so nice
When you come to Rivonia you don’t roll the dice
We loved our muffins and Megabeds too
We have so many memories,
Rivonia, we love you!
I am so happy I came to Johannesburg. I feel like I have learned a lot, but more importantly, I have made friends I know I will keep when we get back to New Haven. Thanks VAGH!
